Victorian Gilded Bronze Table Lamp

19th century
Description

A heavy, late 19th C gilded bronze table lamp of a classical female figure wearing finely detailed robes and holding a vase or pitcher on her shoulder.

The base is original and bears the signature of the maker: J Salmson.

The lamp is 36cm tall up to the bottom of the light bulb holder and the base is approximately 11cm wide, and 7cm in height.

We have just rewired the lamp with flex cable and fitted it with an online switch.

Declaration

Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
