Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Bureau Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

This original antique Edwardian mahogany bureau bookcase has lovely slim proportions & is in good original condition with some fine inlays, including a bold shell inlay on the drop flap. It has a single astral glazed door on the top, three drawers with locks & brass handles & it sits on bracket feet. Inside the fall are pigeon holes & small drawers. Behind the top door, the back & shelves are lined with some sort of old blue velvet which gives it quite a smart look. The velvet on the shelves is just laying on top, so you can just take it off. This bureau bookcase is really good quality & the wood has a good patina. It comes apart into two sections for easy transportation.
