Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has the makers mark of JJ which stands for J J Elliot, Percival Street, Clerkenwell, London a top maker from 1880-1920, in 1909 he amalgamated with Grimshaw and Baxter so this clock dates prior to 1909. The quality of the movement is outstanding.

The rosewood case has has a wonderful rich colour and patina with inlay and stringing, this is complimented by the original white painted dial and a contrasting brass bezel.
The movement has just undergone a full overhaul, clean and service by Alan Williams who is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute so you can be assured that this clock is in tip top condition and will give trouble free service for many years to come.

The clock comes with a key.
It is keeping accurate time to within 1 minute a week.
The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
Dimensions of clock: 17" in diameter, the dial is 11.5" in diameter and it is 6" deep
