A quad-form base with moulded and carved legs is united with the upper section under a formed edge. Bergere cane panels present on all faces and all are in superb condition.
The whole displays desirable painted and gilt finish.
Internally there is a metal box which can be lifted out.
The piece is in good antique order throughout and benefits from gorgeous indicators of age which add to the overall piece. It is solid and ready for the home.
Overall a very pleasing example, both attractively styled and well presented.
