Antique English Mahogany & Silver Plated Biscuit Barrel - Fan Inlaid C.1900

Description

A really lovely biscuit box in really wonderful condition, untouched and without cracks to the wood.

Created from panels of Mahogany the box is beautifully decorated with oval fan inlays around it's circumference. The fittings are made from silver plate with a mark to the rim EPNS for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.

The lid lifts to reveal the ceramic liner on the inside in wonderful undamaged condition.

A superb piece dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian era, in excellent condition. Standing 6 1/4" tall or 9 1/2" to the top of the handle while upright; the rim diameter measures 5".
