Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It came from an important castle estate sale in Scotland and was probably purchased from new.
It has the painters number of 15 and Danmark which dates this precisely to between 1894 and 1900.
The best part of this jug or pitcher is the snail on the top of the handle which is just wonderful.
This particular jug is of first quality, the stamp of Danmark with the three lines dates it to between 1894 and 1900 after which the stamp changed.
It is of first quality with no scratch through the three lines to indicate it is a second, there is a mark in the glaze but not a scratch as you can see in the photograph.
There are no chips, cracks and no restoration has been undertaken.
It is large measures 7.5 inches high.
