Description

A wonderful Victorian novelty cotton spool dispenser in highly collectible Tartan Ware, dating to around 1870.

This example has a lovely castellated lid, and the original black and gold label retained on the lid for the "Prince Charlie" tartan or plaid. This one is lucky enough to have the original advertising label for "Clark & Co's Anchor Sewing Cottons - The Best for Hand & Machine Use".

What makes this one so special is it's wonderful original condition without damage. The base diameter measures 3 1/4" and stands 2 3/4" tall.
