Maples Inlaid Corner Cabinet

Description

A good quality and attractive Sheraton Revival inlaid corner cabinet by Maples of London and Paris . Serpentine shaped front and sides with boxwood strung swan neck pediment and inlaid frieze below. The serpentine plate glass door with original crushed velvet lining and plate glass shelf interior. The open middle with bevelled edge mirrors with turned column and shaped bracket supports. The base with shaped and inlaid frieze and a wonderfully inlaid panelled door with griffins, putti and foliage in satinwood, boxwood and various stained woods, the panel framed with satinwood banding between boxwood and ebony stringing. To each side are 3 shelves for display and a larger shelf below. The whole with further boxwood stringing and satinwood banding standing on square tapering legs with spade feet. Bearing makers label. With brass locks and keys.
