Description

A stunning Victorian claret jug with all over Copper Wheel engraving, beautifully executed with a feature bird to the front of the glass among a plethora of foliage.

The fittings including the hinged lid and handle are silver plated and made by the highly desirable silversmith, Hukin & Heath with a full mark on the collar of the jug. The top of the lid is crowned with a figural finial in the form of a bunch of Grapes and the collar engraved, again with a bird.

A fabulous, unusual and highly decorative piece in superb condition, measuring 11 1/2" tall.
