Antique Large Early Victorian Carved Oak Throne Hall Chair C1840

Description

Antique Very Early Victorian Carved Oak Throne Chair and dating from around 1840. Constructed from solid oak it has a profusely carved high back rest with turned side supports topped with turned finials and solid downswept carved armrests with scroll end and a stuff over seat on turned legs and block legs with small bun foot and joined by a large shaped and carved front stretcher.

measures: 56" high x seat height 18" x 26" deep x 28" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the Gothic Jacobean Period.
