An original watercolour illustration by E.E. Briscoe for `Our Boys Tip Top` Annual, 1929. 41.5cm x 27.5cm.

E.E. Briscoe (1882-1956) was a well known artist and book illustrator, particularly renowned for comics and annuals. This is an excellent image which just pre-dates the film King Kong. The reverse marked with the Byron Studios stamp.

Hand of Glory has dated this piece to the 1920s.
