To the side is space for 2 ink

wells and a pen tray. The right hand side drawer has a catch which when released allows the secret stationary compartment to rise on a weighted counterbalance . The top lifts over to reveal another pierced gallery. Inside is a shaped boxwood stationary compartment with a further pen tray . To the right side are 4 mahogany lined drawers with original turned knobs , brass locks and escutcheons with opposing dummy drawers . The base and top with wonderfully carved and pierced supports. The whole standing on turned feet with sunken castors.
