Description

A stunning glove box, perfect for Jewelry, cufflinks or desk-top paraphernalia, this Victorian gem dates to around 1860, Victorian in era.

Made from exotic and striking Coromandel, the wood is decorated with a large highly decorative brass mount on the top of the domed lid, with a complimentary brass mounted escutcheon which houses the working key.

The interior has been re-lined in a hand-marbled paper, creating a clean and very usable box. There is an inset label with the signature of the top-notch London retailer, "Parkins & Gotto, 24 & 25 Oxford St. London"

The box remains in superb condition, measuring 10 1/2" x 4" x 3 1/2" tall to top of domed lid.
