Top Notch Strawberry & Cream Set in Silverplate by Hukin & Heath C.1892

Description

I have had similar Strawberry sets with the fixed Strawberry dishes, this is a rarer, more sought-after type with the dishes being removable; miraculous that everything has remained intact, when these sets come along, there is always something missing.

Made by the famous and highly collectible silversmith, Hukin & Heath, the frame, cream jug and sugar bowl are all marked H & H.

The large removable dishes are in the form of large Strawberry leaves and twisted around the handle there are Strawberry leaves and flowers. Each of these large dishes has a design registration number stamped into it for the year 1892

The two plates where the sugar and cream jug sit are also created to emulate leaves .. the interior of the sugar and creamer are lavishly gilded.

A really wonderful set in excellent condition, measuring in total 17" in length x 11 1/4" at widest point; this one has it all!
