The box has been beautifully re-lined with a hand-marbled paper, creating a clean and fresh interior for whatever you decide to use it for.
There is a pin, which once removed, allows the bottom drawer to be opened with the use of the flush brass handle.
A superb box in excellent condition, dating from around 1820 .. nearly 200 years old. Complete with tasseled key which works but can only be removed from the box when locked and cannot be removed from the box while unlocked. 9 3/4" x 8 1/4" x 4" tall.
