A Magnificent Victorian Period Burr Walnut Credenza

19th century
Description

A magnificent burr walnut Victorian Period credenza. Having a shaped top with bowed ends veneered in wonderfully figured burr walnut. With a thuya wood banded frieze, with purple heart and satinwood inlaid detail. The central panelled door having the most wonderful worked inlaid panel again cross banded in thuya wood and flanked by twin free standing thuya veneered columns with ormolu Corinthian column capitols. The bowed glazed end doors opening to reveal a velvet lined shelved interior, all supported on six turned ormolu mounted feet circa 1870

Dimensions: 69" wide x 19" deep x 41" high

This credenza is of the highest quality, the inlaid detail is reminiscent of Jackson & Graham the renowned 19th Century cabinet makers

Condition: This credenza is in wonderful restored condition.
