Description

A Superb quality Victorian Irish Chesterfield, retaining the original horse hair stuffing, Having sprung seat and button details to the arms and back, raised on Mahogany legs with the original inset castors. Recently re-upholstered in a neutral linen.

Stamped to the back leg and frame by well respected " Arthur Jones & Son, Dublin" Circa 1860

Arthur Jones and Sons of St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin operated from 1820 to 1860.

Exhibited at the 1851 Crystal Palace Exhibition.

Dimensions: Length: 71 Inches (180.5cm), Depth: 26 Inches (66cm), Height: 25 Inches (63.5cm), Seat Height: 16 Inches (40.5cm)
