Description

A beautiful and highly versatile pair of mahogany collectors cabinets each fitted with seven, deep, open topped solid mahogany drawers.

Glazed doors with lock and key and original catches, the cabinets standing on turned bun feet.

With these cabinets comes full and very detailed provenance supplied in 1954 by professor p.b.medawar of the university college, london, stating that "this mahogany cabinet and its fellow were made by e.t.newton, frs, with his own hands" the letter of provenance goes on to explain the connection in detail and a c.v. Is included of edwin tulley newton 1840-1930.

These are lovely cabinets and will be not only practical but aesthetically outstanding for the new owner. Whatever the collecting pursuit, this means of displaying, protecting and storing collectables is second to none.

I have extensive photographs of this pair and am happy to further them to interested potential buyers. Please do not hesitate to request same.

Alternatively, viewing at our dedicated showroom in hartland, north devon is considered an interesting and rewarding experience, buyers are very welcome and I am happy to make arrangements for comfortable accommodation in this spectacular area.
