Atropos Antiques has dated this piece to the 1880s.
Glazed doors with lock and key and original catches, the cabinets standing on turned bun feet.
With these cabinets comes full and very detailed provenance supplied in 1954 by professor p.b.
t.newton, frs, with his own hands" the letter of provenance goes on to explain the connection in detail and a c.v. Is included of edwin tulley newton 1840-1930.

These are lovely cabinets and will be not only practical but aesthetically outstanding for the new owner. Whatever the collecting pursuit, this means of displaying, protecting and storing collectables is second to none.
