Superb Set of 12 Antique French Dining Chairs

19th century
Description

A set of twelve Antique French walnut dining chairs in Provencal style, early 19th Century, the curved oval backs with carved splats over rush seats and raised on cabriole legs joined by multiple stretchers.

A lovely set of chairs is excellent condition and with custom made loose cushions.

NB: Previously from a Chateau in S.W. France.

Height of back: 92cm

Height of seat: 44cm

Width of seat at front: 45cm

They are all in good, clean, sturdy condition (no wobbles!). There are some old professional restorations and I believe the seats have been re-rushed at some point in the past. They also have removable custom-made squab cushions which are in good order but the fabric doesn’t really do them justice.
