Beautiful Victorian French Carriage Clock by Duverdry and Bloquel C1870

19th century
Description

A fine victorian carriage clock c1870

~~ Excellent original condition throughout ~~

This is an original Victorian carriage clock dated to around 1870.

It has a most stunning decorative gilt case with a shaped fold down handlel.

It is in excellent condition, bright and clean yet showing the patina which you would expect from a clock of this age.

The French movement is by Duverdry and Bloquel who were based at St Nicholas D'Aliermont, Normandy and makers from 1867 - 1910. The serial number is 36 which makes this an early example. It is of very high quality and still retains its original cylinder escapement, dial, glass and key.

The movement is in excellent clean and running condition having just undergone a complete and comprehensive overhaul by Alan Williams of Plymouth Clocks who is a fellow of the British Horological Institute so you can be assured that this clock will give trouble free service for many many years before requiring any further attention

A beautiful high quality victorian carriage clock in wonderful condition which will give great pleasure for many years to come.

This clock has obviously been highly prized and looked after over the last 130 years and is a credit to its previous owners.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.

Dimensions of clock: Height with the handle up 6", Width 3" and Depth 2.5".

Being over critical there is a very tiny chip to the top left hand corner of the top glass panel but only visible when wearing strong glasses and certainly does not detract from the clock at all.

All other glass panels are in perfect condition with no chips.

Delivery for this item to mainland UK is free.

Why not collect in person and have a weekend in Cornwall - we are 2 miles from the historic port of Fowey and 3 miles from world famous Eden Project.
