Magnificent Large English Regency Pen Work Jewellery Box - Chinoiserie Decorated C.1820

Description

One of the finest quality and condition Penwork Jewelry boxes I have come across in a long time. These Regency Penwork gems are often tired and worn, this one is crisp and clean and can only be described as pristine.

The box stands on four original gilded Lion's Paw feet and the original ornamental ring handles remain on either side.

The interior has been professionally re-lined in black velvet, with a shaped fitted removable tray.

Complete with a working key (replacement) finished with a generous tassle. Excellent condition dating to around 1820, Regency in era. 11 1/4" at widest x 8" x 4 3/4" tall.
