A Beautiful Mahogany Louis Xvi Style Double Bed

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful Louis XVI style mahogany and ormolu double bed. The headboard having a shaped and moulded cornice above three panels each with ormolu floral mounts and a beautifully figured arched mahogany panel. The foot board also veneered in beautifully figured flame mahogany with a central oval panel with ormolu floral swags and ribbons, raised on four turned mahogany feet with mahogany and ormolu side rails circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 205cm long x 150cm wide headboard 58" high x foot board 31.5" high

Condition: This bed is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. The side rails have been extended by 3.5" to accommodate an English mattress
