A late 17th century Portuguese gilt-bronze medallion cast in relief with two angels aloft an altar, inscribed verso LOUVADO SEJA O SANTISSIMO SACRAMENTO,the border later bevelled and silvered and minutely engravedIn Memoriam Mrs Harriet Madden (Small erasure) Born London 1801 Died Booterstown Dublin February 7th, 1888, R.I.P. 9.2cm to top of loop.

N.B. Harriet Madden was the wife of the notable Irishman Richard Robert Madden (1798-1886), doctor, writer, politician, abolitionist and historian of the United Irishman.
