Description

An exquisite small French ebonised box dating to around 1840, I have never come across one similar, most unusual to be such a small size, it would make the most elegant pill box.

The top is beautifully decorated with inlaid Mother of Pearl and cut brass .. all reflecting the light.

The brass push button mechanism opens the box revealing the polished brass fittings on the interior with the engraved signature of the prestigious "Tahan Paris".

Excellent condition, measuring just 2" x 1 3/4" x 1" to top of domed lid.
