Description

A wonderful antique English silver plated inkstand by the highly regarded silversmith, Mappin & Webb.

Standing on four bun feet, the galleried stand has a integral pen tray and two galleried holders for the cut crystal inkwells. The inkwells are in perfect condition without any chips or cracks and mounted with silver plated hinged tops.

The underside has the full makers mark "Triple Deposit / Mappin & Webb's Princes Plate / London & Sheffield "

A superb smart desk accessory and remaining in superb condition. The footprint measures 9" x 6 1/4" foot to foot, each inkwell measuring 2" x 2" x 2 1/4" tall to top of silver plated top.
