Antique English Nickel Dog Collar C.1880

Description

A wonderful and highly collectible English Victorian dog collar in nickel and retaining it's original leather lining.

The studded collar is beautifully engraved with the original owner's name and address " E. Rooke. Esq. Stratton House, Bath ".

The adjustable collar comes complete with the original heart shaped lock / fastener. Not used with a key, it is opened from the reverse side with the panel being slid to the right with the finger nail which releases the lock, in turn it is just snapped shut to lock again.

As charming as they come in excellent condition, measuring 3 5/8" in diameter expanding to 4 1/8" in diameter.
