Of solid English oak throughout this wonderfully carved piece benefits from a rear brass loop handle and a splendid relief carved top handle with oak leaf detailing. Further oak carving is present to the top and the lift flap is magnificently embellished with a lions head mask at the centre.
The cabinet is complete with matching oak handled fuel shovel.
Overall a super piece of fireside furniture which looks attractive and functions nicely. Classic English oak country craftsmanship - we have not seen better.
