The workbox is a hugely attractive item which is constructed beautifully and benefits from superb condition.
Carved moulded cabriole legs are united by a diagonal stretcher with 'pin-cushion' centre. This wonderful base sweeps into the main body of the table delivering glamorous appeal and providing a sturdy support.
Flame mahogany throughout, a serpentine top, and central cartouche give the piece a stunning look.
The top opens to reveal a very well appointed interior with lift lids, cubbies and a hide-away pin cushion. The whole interior actually slides out so it can be transported to the place where one is working without carrying the whole item of furniture - very clever designing and adding even further to the desirability of this charming example.
Under the main section there is a conical hard bodied slide out drawer with lined interior.
This stylish and well kept item will make a fine addition to any collection.
