Bracket Clock

A large and stunning green Boulle bracket clock in lovely, ready to display condition. The clock is a classic Louis XV shape with ormolu mounts of Rococo design. The feet are designed as winged mythical creatures and the clock is surmounted by a cherub. The case is Green veneer inlaid with brass. To the front and to each sides are fretted panels backed with fabric.
It is complete with the original delicately fretted blued steel hands and is covered by convex bevelled glass.
French movement is not marked with a makers name but is of high quality. It runs for 8 days, strikes on a bell and is in excellent, clean and running condition having been fully cleaned and overhauled by our clockmaker. It is complete with its original replacement pendulum and bell.
Condition of the case is very good, there is just one area of loss to the Boulle work at the bottom of the case on the left hands side, this does not detract, see the picture below. The rest of the Boulle work is in excellent condition and is clean and bright. There are no losses to the ormolu which is also in excellent clean and bright condition. The dial is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips to any of the cartouches. We have fitted new fabric to the fabric panels.
