Magnificent English Sterling Silver Jewellery Box - Original Interior - Fitted for Six Rings

Description

A top quality English sterling silver jewelry box with a domed hinged lid beautifully engine-turned with a central vacant cartouche.

The edge is raised and highly decorative as is the edge to the bottom of the box, standing on four cabriole legs.

The lid fits beautifully and once opened reveals an original fitted interior in green velvet. There is a raised plinth to accommodate six rings.

A good clear hallmark for Birmingham 1920, nearly 100 years old .. together with the makers mark for either the Dingley Brothers or Davies Brothers.

A superb large box in excellent condition, measuring 5" x 3" x 2 1/8" tall.
