Description

A really wonderful biscuit box in silverplate and glass. The caddy or stand marked by the top-notch silversmith, Mappin & Webb.

The glass is impeccable, with stunning Ferns engraved all over, so very English and so very Victorian; the rim has vertical cuts and the underside revealing a polished pontil mark, showing the glass to be hand blown.

Superb condition, the stand measuring 7" in diameter and together the stand and jar together standing 6 1/2" tall. The glass alone has a diameter measuring 5 1/4" and standing 5" tall.
