Arts and Crafts Copper Coal Scuttle

Description

An Arts and Crafts hammered copper coal scuttle with a steel handle and three steel feet; it is in good condition but the photos do not do it justice. It is a richer copper colour in reality than appears in the photographs.

No maker's mark can be found, but it is a classic example of the Arts and Crafts movement and has been beautifully made.

It measures at the widest part 42cm and the maximum height from the feet to the top of the scuttle itself is 33cm.
