London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Rising from a continuous plinth, with carved embellishment featuring cherubs and foliate detailing, the cabinet offers tremendous depth of colour and huge interest. Twin glazed doors, with original locks and key, open to reveal a magnificent interior newly professionally re-lined with a vibrant quality velvet.

A pair of fully lined shelves offer useful storage and display space with the cabinet benefiting from a full mirror-back interior with original plate.
The piece exhibits further wonderful carved mouldings which flank and centre the pair of doors. These are matched with an over-frieze and carving to the sides of the piece.

The whole cabinet is presented in stunning order and the gorgeous carving contrasts well against the beautiful polished rosewood.
The cabinet will make a wonderful office, hallway, reception, library or study piece. It is a very glamorous piece and a rare example in this condition and size.

Overall a superb item of English furniture will make a fine feature in any room.
