Description

A mid 19th C lignum vitae string box, the cylindrical shaped string box with a domed and ring turned screw off lid, finished with a half sconce string spout, and the body with a screw off concave moulded foot - in very good condition and nice varigation of grain.

Lovely object which would look great on a gentleman's desk or in a library in a vast collection! We have another listed on our website which is shown in the bottom photograph.
