Victorian Wardrobe - Superb Colour - c1880
A classic and pleasing example of a Victorian tall single wardrobe.
A continuous plinth provides a stable base for the piece, with the structure rising with good colour to terminate in an attractive crown moulding.
A single twin field panel door, with original catch, opens to reveal a usefully appointed clean interior. With a lower full width shelves and an adjustable slide the piece offers good practicality. The upper is fitted with a hanging rail.
The finish throughout the cabinet is the very desirable Victorian pine worn patina which delivers terrific warmth and feeling of heritage.
Overall this cabinet is a desirable and practical item of antique furniture with useful storage capacity presented in good condition.
