Pair Antique French Opera Glasses in Ivory - C.1880

Description

Earlier than many examples, these unusual barrel shaped Opera Glasses date to around 1880, Victorian in era. They are made from Ivory, another very unusual feature is that the Ivory is totally undamaged, most pairs have cracks to the Ivory.

The metal fittings retain the original gilding, they are in good working order. Excellent condition, measuring 4 3/4" wide x 2 1/4" tall expanding to 2 7/8".
