Description

A stunning Jewellery box dating to the Victorian period, around 1860 made from Walnut with beautifully polished brass mounts, each mount having been painstakingly removed, re-polished and re-mounted.

The centre of the lid is blessed with an exceptional Wedgwood type Jasperware plaque featuring four cherub or putti figures with a dog, about as charming as they come.

The interior is totally original, lined in black leather and a rich jewel-toned purple velvet. The removable tray is fully fitted.

Complete with a working key, the box is in superb condition. 10 1/2" x 7" x 5 1/2".
