A very good and interesting late Victorian walnut dressing table. The table is made in straight-grain walnut and the drawer fronts are beautiful burr walnut.
There is an arrangement of 3 drawers, the middle drawer bearing the makers impressed stamp ''Marsden and Benning, Manchester''.
The dressing table was originally fitted for gas lights. It still has the original brass gas light holders present and also the gas tubes to the rear of the table. It stands on its original brass and ceramic castors.
This dressing table is offered in good original condition. It does have soem water marks to the top surface (see photo) which could be polished out if required. Also the mirror has some spotting, this could be replaced if required.
A rare oppertunity to acquire a piece in its original , unspoilt, un-altered condition.
