Ebonised Bergere Seated Chair - Mother of Pearl Inlay - c1870
The chair is presented in solid order throughout with strong joints and the bergere seat is in very good condition.
The chair rides upon elegant tapered front legs with turned out foot. These are united by a box stretcher with turned front rail creating a robust and attractive base for this lovely chair.
A buckle shaped back-rest provides interest with shaped header rail and feature central bar. Mother of pearl accenting and gilt enhances throughout the chair.
This chair is suitable as a desk chair, side chair or simply as a decorative piece.
