Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has been sympathetically restored yet retaining the character of a piece of this era, it has been professionally french polished and the top is just wonderful.
It has two small drawers and then three graduating drawers and stands on a plinth base.
The solid highly decorative heavy brass handles are later replacements but very much in the late Victorian design.
It measures 44" wide, 43" high and 19" deep. As you would expect it is extremely heavy.
This is very impressive classic piece which will give great pleasure for many years to come.
