Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1800s.

The lid lifts to reveal the lid interior is lined in Mahogany with an oval boxwood inlay. The two removable cannisters are also framed in boxwood inlay.
The original cut crystal bowl remains intact, used to mix black and green tea leaves (held in the two cannisters) to taste and then transferred to the teapot.
Excellent condition, measuring 11 3/4" x 5 7/8" x 6" tall.
