A Victorian Brass Doorstop

Description

A beautifully made Victorian brass doorstop in the shape of an umbrella stand, this even has a 'dividing tray' in the bottom for umbrellas. It isn't actually a tray and doesn't come out, it is part of the heavy base.

This measures 11" (28cm) in height and

7" (18cm) at the widest point.

We haven't found a maker's mark, but it is a top quality item and has been very well made.

It weighs nearly two and half kilos - or 4lb 14oz.

Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
