A very decorative Antique French Delft clock set.
The pottery bodies are not marked but were most probably made in Belgium.
Original dial is enamel on copper which is decorated with a scene of a castle in a mountainous landscape.
The antique French movement is of excellent quality. It runs for 8 days and is in very good clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. We have replaced the missing pendulum. Click the movie below to see and hear the movement working!
Gilding is in excellent original condition, bright and fresh with hardly any wear or discolouration. The clock case is in very good condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. One candelabra body has some cracking around one of the side fittings, see the pictures below. This doesn't detract from the display of the set and is only visible on close inspection. One brass sconce has some stress cracking. The enamel dial is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The set displays very well as you can see in the pictures below.
Complete with original pendulum and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
