Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has an ornate gas tap fitting on the top that has been fixed into position to protect the electric cable and the leaf and acorn design work is beautifully done. The light has been lacquered at some stage in the past.
The shade is included in the price and is original, but we have a large selection of other antique glass shades not on this website if blue doesn't suit.
The item can be bought without any shade at all for £20 less than the asking price.
