Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It measures approximately 32" (81 cm) in length and 32" (81 cm) in width.
It is extremely heavy, and needs a good supporting beam to take the weight.
The chandelier has been rewired for the UK market and has new tall candle tubes. It's rare to find a large, good quality, pewter chandelier from this period in such good condition.
It is hard to photograph the chandelier because the flash reflects on the metal and produces a harsh silver colour, whereas it is a lovely dark rich grey but it can be viewed in the Berkshire area if required.
Collection preferred, but delivery could be arranged and quotes will be given first.
