Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The glossy panels of tortoiseshell are set within highly decorative raised sterling silver frames. The shell is inlaid with some of the most attractive silver pique inlay, very elegant and stylish.
Unusually.

The natural bristles are different, one firm to use on coats, jackets and the like, and the softer bristled one would originally have been used to brush up felt hats and the like, perfect for more more delicate fabrics. Excellent condition measuring 6 5/8" x 1 1/2".
