A charming and collectible candlestick style letter scale in brass and dating to around 1840, early Victorian in era.

The heavy cast base is decorated with a floral and foliate design and the sprung balance has a gauge in both OZS and Drams.

The scale is signed R.W. Winfield, Birmingham.

Excellent condition, with a natural patination, with the base having a diameter measuring 3 1/4" and standing 6 3/4" tall.
