Pair of 19th C Sphinx

Description

Pair of 19th C gilt metal sphinx, the sphinx figures with forebody of lion and tail of dragon/serpent, the winged creature with long hair and crown, each sphinx resting on a rectangular base with stepped moulding above frieze panels mounted with rosette decoration to each end and a rose head and foliage mount to the front.

Very decorative and fun pieces! Could be converted to make an interesting pair of lamps!

H: 8" to tip of wing

W: 6 1/4"

D: 3 1/4"
