Description

Old warf mousehole cornwall - charming watercolour by thomas herbert victor (also known as w sands)

Born in mousehole in 1894. Although offered scholarships to the slade he lived all his life in mousehole.

He also painted newlyn, the lizard peninsular, st ives & clovely as well as other local harbours and villages

During the 1960s he had a shop in mousehole. He died on the 10th march 1980

We also have a watercolour signed w sands of broadhambury devon. To over come a contractual agreement to the morrab gallery he used the pseudonym - w. Sands.

Frame size: 35 X 28cm
