Description

To over come a contractual agreement to the morrab gallery he used the pseudonym - w. Sands. Although offered scholarships to the slade he lived all his life in cornwall.

Charming wartercolour of broadhambury devon. This must have been one of the furthest points from mousehole he ever travelled.

We also have a watercolour signed th victor of mousehole where he was born in 1894. He also painted newlyn, the lizard peninsular, st ives & clovely as well as other local harbours and villages.

During the 1960s he had a shop in mousehole. He died on the 10th march 1980

Frame size 44.5 X 31.5cm
